DESCRIPTION:📢 Με επιτυχία πραγματοποιήθηκε το 2ο Διαδικτυακό Σεμινάριο Κατάρτισης του έργου «Prevent-DisCC – Διασυνοριακές Δράσεις για την Πρόληψη Καταστροφών και την Κλιματική Αλλαγή»\, με τη συμμετοχή στελεχών των αρμόδιων διευθύνσεων των Δήμων Ρόδου και Κουρίου. \nΤα Σεμινάρια Κατάρτισης υλοποιούνται υπό την επιστημονική ευθύνη του ΕΚΕΤΑ / ΙΜΕΤ\, με την ενεργό συμβολή του επιστημονικού του προσωπικού\, στο πλαίσιο δράσεων που στοχεύουν στην ενίσχυση της διασυνοριακής συνεργασίας και στην προώθηση της μεταφοράς τεχνογνωσίας μεταξύ των εμπλεκόμενων φορέων. \n🔎 Θεματικές ενότητες του σεμιναρίου: \n— Μοντέλα Πρόβλεψης & Ανάπτυξη Σεναρίων: Ανάπτυξη ρεαλιστικών σεναρίων εξάπλωσης πυρκαγιών \n— Επιτόπια Δειγματοληψία & Ανάλυση Δασικών Περιοχών: Χρήση UAVs και ρομποτικών συστημάτων \n🎙️ Προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής ήταν ο Δρ. Θανάσης Σφέτσος\, Διευθυντής Ερευνών στο Εργαστήριο Περιβαλλοντικών Ερευνών του ΕΚΕΦΕ «Δημόκριτος»\, με εξειδίκευση στην κλιματική αλλαγή και την προστασία κρίσιμων υποδομών. \n📄 Οι δράσεις κατάρτισης συνεχίζονται με νέες θεματικές ενότητες\, συμβάλλοντας στη διαμόρφωση μιας κοινής στρατηγικής πρόληψης για δασικές πυρκαγιές και φυσικές καταστροφές\, καθώς και ενός συνεκτικού πλαισίου επιχειρησιακής ετοιμότητας.

DESCRIPTION:The 2nd Online Training Seminar of the project “Prevent-DisCC – Cross-Border Actions for Disaster Prevention and Climate Change” was successfully held\, with the participation of staff from the competent departments of the Municipalities of Rhodes and Kourion. \nThe Training Seminars are implemented under the scientific responsibility of CERTH / HIT\, with the active contribution of its scientific staff\, within the framework of actions aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation and promoting knowledge transfer among the involved stakeholders. \n🔎 Seminar topics: \n· Forecasting Models & Scenario Development: Development of realistic wildfire spread scenarios \n· Field Sampling & Forest Area Analysis: Use of UAVs and robotic systems \n🎙️ The invited speaker was Dr. Thanasis Sfetsos\, Research Director at the Environmental Research Laboratory of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”\, specializing in climate change and the protection of critical infrastructure. \n📄The training activities continue with new thematic modules\, contributing to the formulation of a common prevention strategy for wildfires and natural disasters\, as well as a coherent framework for operational preparedness. \n
