🎯 The 1st Online Training Seminar of the project “Prevent-DisCC – Cross-Border Actions for Disaster Prevention and Climate Change” was successfully held, with the participation of staff from the relevant departments of the Municipalities of Rhodes and Kourion.
The Training Seminars are implemented under the scientific supervision of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) / Hellenic Institute of Transport, as part of actions aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation and transferring know-how among the involved stakeholders.

• Climate Change and Local Risks
• Basic Principles of Fire Risk Assessment
• Earth Observation Data
🎙️ The guest speaker was Dr. Thanasis Sfetsos, Research Director at the Environmental Research Laboratory of NCSR “Demokritos”, specializing in climate change and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The training activities continue with new thematic units, contributing to the development of a common prevention strategy for forest fires and natural disasters, as well as a coherent framework for operational preparedness.
