The project is implemented by a consortium of partners from Greece and Cyprus, with the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) being the Lead Beneficiary, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rhodes, the Municipality of Kourion, and the non-governmental organisation Rescue 1.

The Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) is a leading Greek research centre, based in Thessaloniki, active in basic and applied research for technological and social innovations. With expertise in environmental monitoring, artificial intelligence, and climate change resilience projects, CERTH leads Prevent-DisCC, developing digital tools, forecasting models, and early warning systems for natural disasters. Through knowledge and technology, it unites science and society for a safer, sustainable future
Municipality of Rhodes
The Municipality of Rhodes, one of the largest island municipalities in Greece, is a model of local government combining history, culture, and innovation. Within the framework of Prevent-DisCC, the Municipality takes a leading role in implementing prevention and awareness actions, as well as in creating an Interactive Environmental Education Park, where citizens and young people will experientially learn the value of prevention and environmental protection.

Municipality of Kourion
The Municipality of Kourion is one of the most important archaeological sites in Cyprus, a place where cultural heritage meets modern education and innovation. Through the Prevent-DisCC project, the Municipality of Kourion is transformed into a living laboratory for environmental awareness, hosting interactive exhibitions and actions that highlight the connection between the protection of the natural environment and the preservation of our cultural identity.

Cyprus Emergency Response Team RESCUE-1
The Cyprus Emergency Response Team, RESCUE-1, is a dynamic non-governmental organisation/volunteer rescue unit, involved in civil protection and emergency activities in Cyprus. With multi-year experience in civil protection operations and volunteer training programmes, RESCUE-1 brings specialised know-how and practical field experience to Prevent-DisCC. Through joint exercises, training, and awareness actions, it contributes to the creation of a new culture of prevention and readiness in Cyprus and Greece.

Prevent-DisCC does not only aim at tackling natural disasters; it aims at transforming the risk management attitude so that societies are informed, cooperative, and prepared.
